  • Devo – Exodus 18

    September 10th, 2023

Exodus 18 tells the story of Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, visiting him in the wilderness after hearing about the miraculous deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. Jethro offers advice to Moses on delegating leadership responsibilities, which helps alleviate Moses’ burden. The chapter also highlights the establishment of a judicial system among the Israelites.

    Life Applications:

    1. Delegation of Responsibilities (Exodus 18:13-23): Jethro advises Moses to delegate authority to capable leaders to help manage the people’s needs. This teaches us the importance of delegation in our own lives, whether in work or personal matters, to avoid burnout and improve efficiency.
    2. Seeking Wise Counsel (Exodus 18:7-12): Jethro’s visit demonstrates the value of seeking advice from experienced and wise individuals. In our own lives, we should be open to seeking counsel from mentors or trusted friends when faced with important decisions.
    3. Establishing Systems (Exodus 18:25-26): Moses appoints capable and godly individuals to serve as judges, helping to establish a fair and just legal system. This emphasizes the importance of setting up systems and structures in our communities and organizations to ensure fairness and justice.
    4. Gratitude and Hospitality (Exodus 18:7): Jethro’s visit is marked by gratitude and hospitality. We should cultivate a spirit of thankfulness and hospitality in our interactions with others, just as Jethro did when he praised God for His deliverance.
    5. Balancing Leadership and Support (Exodus 18:14-23): Leaders, like Moses, can learn from Jethro’s advice to balance their leadership roles with the support of a capable team. This applies to leadership in various aspects of life, reminding us that teamwork is often crucial for success.
    6. Recognition of God’s Work (Exodus 18:9-11): Jethro acknowledges the great things God has done for the Israelites. It’s important for us to recognize and give thanks for God’s blessings and providence in our lives.
  • Place is His Gift

    September 10th, 2023

Amidst the world’s ever-shifting currents, there exists
A solemn vow, a promise to persist.
Stability, a pledge, unwavering and true,
To stay in one place, through trials, we’ll pursue.

In ancient sanctuaries, monks first made their stand,
A sacred commitment, guided by a higher hand.
But not limited to cloisters’ hallowed ground,
In life’s grand mosaic, its purpose is found.

To choose a spot and choose it through the years,
In that chosen place, we’ll face our hopes and fears.
Though moments come and go, like grains of sand,
In this resolute vow, we’ll make our stand.

Yet within this vow, a precious gift does gleam,
A canvas for life’s intricate, cherished dream.
Each locale, unique in its own embrace,
A gift, a blessing, in its special grace.

In bustling cities, where the human spirit thrives,
His power of place continues to shape our lives.
In crowded streets and quiet spaces, we find our space,
Connections, an enduring embrace to embrace.

From childhood homes to lands both near and far,
Places shape us, who we truly are.
In each location, a piece of our soul we trace,
The gift of place grants us enduring grace.

Cherish the spaces where memories take flight,
In them, our hearts find solace and light.
The vow of stability, a guiding trace,
In the gift of His place, we find our sacred space.

  • In Steps of Jesus

    September 9th, 2023

In steps of Jesus, I freely wander,
Guided by faith, my soul’s unwavering compass.
Through valleys deep and mountaintops so high,
In shadows’ embrace and the open sky.

His wisdom, a beacon in life’s murk,
Lights the path where I humbly embark.
With an open heart, I heed His whispered call,
In grace’s gentle flow, He’ll never let me fall.

In His footsteps, love and mercy flow,
A boundless stream, where hope and blessings grow.
With every stride, His presence, a constant guide,
In His embrace, all doubts and fears subside.

Through life’s winding journey, uncertain and vast,
In joy and sorrow, from first to the very last.
For in following Jesus, I’ve come to see,
The way to love, grace, and eternity.

  • Devo – Exodus 16

    September 8th, 2023

Exodus 16 begins with the Israelites complaining about their lack of food in the wilderness. God responds by promising to provide them with bread from heaven. Quail appears in the evening, and in the morning, a dew-like substance called manna covers the ground. God instructs them to gather enough manna for each day, with a double portion on the sixth day to prepare for the Sabbath. Some people disobey and gather extra manna, which spoils. God also provides clear guidance on observing the Sabbath.

    1. Trust in God’s Provision (Exodus 16:4): Just as God provided manna for the Israelites, we should trust that God will provide for our needs in difficult times.
    2. Contentment (Exodus 16:8): We should learn to be content with what God provides for us and avoid complaining about our circumstances.
    3. Sabbath Rest (Exodus 16:23-30): The Sabbath is a day of rest and worship. We should honor this day and take time to rest, spend time with family, and connect with God.
    4. Obedience (Exodus 16:27): Obedience to God’s instructions is crucial. Disobedience can lead to negative consequences, as seen when the extra manna spoiled.
    5. Daily Dependence on God (Exodus 16:19-21): Just as the Israelites had to gather manna daily, we should rely on God daily for our physical and spiritual sustenance.
    6. Avoid Hoarding (Exodus 16:19-20): Hoarding out of fear or greed can lead to waste and missed blessings. Trust that God will provide what you need when you need it.
    7. God’s Faithfulness (Exodus 16:32-34): The jar of manna placed in the Ark of the Covenant reminds us of God’s faithfulness throughout generations. We should remember and honor God’s faithfulness in our lives.

  • Stand Up!

    September 7th, 2023

Remembering the days when I inflicted deep wounds,
Painful acts that tore trust into fragments and ruins.
Now, by the grace of God’s power, committed to amend,
To become a healer and a steadfast, loyal friend.

The desire to alleviate their suffering is profound,
Yet, the path ahead is tangled, intricate, and bound.
Intimacy, once vibrant, lies shattered and frayed,
A delicate bond, in ruins, is where we’ve stayed.

My heart aches to mend what I’ve recklessly torn,
To erase the scars of anguish and mistrust that were born.
God’s guiding light encourages me to persevere,
To bridge the chasm of pain, doubt, and fear.

But I understand, trust isn’t rebuilt overnight,
It’s a debt that demands patience and God always in my sights.
I must demonstrate my commitment, day by day,
To rebuild with God’s grace, what I shattered, to live in love every day.

On humble knees and remorse I bow to you God, I’ve start anew,
To nurture the love that once brightly grew.
Though the road is long, I’ll do all for Him,
To help them heal and together with God we’ll stand up again.

  • A Little Light Can Brighten a Dark Room

    September 7th, 2023

In shadows deep, where darkness looms,
A room devoid of light’s perfume,
A single candle, small and bright,
Defies the blackness of the night.

With flickering flame, it dances free,
A beacon of hope for eyes to see,
In its gentle glow, secrets unfold,
A tale of grace, a story untold.

So, too, within our souls it dwells,
    The Holy Spirit’s mystic spells,
A subtle spark, a guiding star,
In every heart, no matter how far.

With quiet grace, it leads the way,
Through darkest nights and brightest day,
A source of strength, a boundless love,
Sent from the heavens, from above.

In life’s vast room, where shadows creep,
The Holy Spirit, our souls shall keep,

    In every heart, forever reside.

  • In Solitude

    September 6th, 2023

In solitude, I seek the voice of God,
Amidst the stillness of the quiet morn and darkness,
Where shadows dance in gentle reverence,
And nature’s symphony begins to hum.

Beneath the canopy of endless blue,
I lift my voice, a whisper in the wind,
A humble soul in search of sacred truth,
To converse with the divine, my heart’s desire.

The world outside, a distant, fading dream,
As I retreat into this sacred space,
Where all that’s left is a sacred silence,
And in this hush, my spirit finds its grace.

I speak to God in whispers of my soul,
No need for words, for God knows all I am,
The joys, the sorrows, the doubts that gnaw,
In solitude, I bare my heart to Him.

The sun, a radiant, golden orb above,
Bathes me in warmth, a tender, loving touch,
I feel His presence in the gentle breeze,
A reminder that I’m never truly alone.

In solitude, I find the sacred dance,
Between my heart and the Creator’s hand,
A dialogue that transcends earthly bounds,
As I surrender to His eternal plan.

I ask for wisdom, guidance, and His love,
To navigate the maze of life’s uncertain path,
And in the stillness of this sacred hour,
I find the answers in the aftermath.

For God, in solitude, becomes my friend,
A confidant, a source of boundless light,
And as I listen to the whispers of His grace,
I’m bathed in love that banishes the night.

In solitude, I’ve found a sacred space,
To talk to God, to listen, and to be,
A vessel for His wisdom and His grace,
In this communion, I find eternity.

  • Perfectly Imperfect

    September 4th, 2023

Infinite love, as wide as God’s embrace,
Challenges in living it, we can’t conceal.
Unconditional, the love we aim to chase,
Yet human hearts, by limits, are made real.

Perfectly created people, imperfect souls we stand,
Striving to grasp love’s ever-reaching hand.
In our life’s journey, trials on every strand,
But God’s love, our saving grace in the land.

Through storms and shadows, stumbling we may fall,
Yet unconditional love, it conquers all.
A beacon of hope, a guiding light for all,
In the darkest hours, its brilliance does enthral.

We strive to love without condition or end,
Like God’s devotion, as our truest friend.
Imperfect, we’re called to continually mend,
To live and love with hearts that never bend.

In God’s love, we find strength to let forgive,
To heal, to grow, and harmoniously live.
The challenges may many, the path we sieve,
But love’s reflection, we generously give.

So let us journey, imperfect and free,
Towards a love like God’s, vast as the sea.
In this world’s trials, may our hearts decree,
To love unconditionally, like the divine decree.

Together with God’s strength it begins,

Turning the imperfect to perfect again.

    5. God’s Unwavering Love (Verse 12): Meditate on God’s steadfast love. It endures forever and is a source of hope and strength.

  • My Lasting Peace

    September 3rd, 2023

In whispered plea, I bared my soul,
To heavens vast, my words took toll.
“Grant me strength,” I dared to plea,
O Holy Spirit, set me free.

Within my chest, a fire ignited,
    Invisible grace, I felt, invited.
The sins that weighed like anchors, dense,
Now found their way to recompense.

The Spirit, like a gentle dove,
    Descended from the realms above,
To fill my heart with sacred flame,
    In love’s sweet, all-redeeming name.

With every breath, a change, profound,
My soul, in grace, began to bound.
A promise made, a heart restored,
In the Spirit’s embrace, I soared.

    Reconciliation’s gentle art,
    Mended wounds, a brand-new start.
For in that moment, light did gleam,
A whisper, true, a holy dream.

    O Holy Spirit, gift divine,
Your strength and love in me entwine.
In your embrace, I find release,
My soul’s sweet balm, my lasting peace.

  • Always Find My Way

    September 3rd, 2023

In her eyes, I stumble, I fall,
A flawed creation, battered and small.
But in my heart, a whisper, a call,
To fix my gaze on the One who’s all.

Just like Nehemiah, amidst the strife,
I’ll build my walls to guard my life,
Not with stones and mortar, but with grace,
    Trusting in God’s unfailing embrace.

Rumors may swirl, falsehoods may fly,
But in Jesus, I’ll learn to rely.
For His truth is steadfast, unwavering, true,
And in His strength, I’ll find my breakthrough.

So, I’ll keep my eyes on the path divine,
Letting His love and purpose define.
In her eyes, I may falter and sway,
But in His arms, I’ll always find my way.

  • Shhhhh

    September 3rd, 2023

Amidst the hush, I seek a sacred space,
Where words dissolve, leaving but a trace.
No need to chatter, no desire to speak,
In silence, God’s presence, I humbly seek.

I listen to the world, attentive and still,
To nature’s murmurs, life’s subtle thrill.
In this tranquil void, my focus does dwell,
Upon the divine, I cast my inner spell.

I pledge to quiet my restless mind’s refrain,
To listen deeply, where insights remain.
For within the silence, God’s wisdom flows,
A boundless river, in which my soul knows.

In the stillness, I discover pure delight,
No need for spoken words, my spirit takes flight.
With undivided focus on the divine’s gentle nod,
In this profound silence, I find my path to God.

    1. In Exodus 11, God tells Moses that He will bring one more plague upon Egypt, after which Pharaoh will finally let the Israelites go.
    2. This final plague is the death of all the firstborn in Egypt, both humans and animals.

    A Name Just for You
  • The Sucky Communicator

    September 2nd, 2023

In the world of my words, I sought a new way,
To glorify God with what I had to say.
A journey embarked with humble heart and mind,
To learn the art of speech, both gentle and kind.

I pondered whispers of rustling leaves,
Songs of birds, babbling brooks in eaves.
For in each sound, a message I discerned,
A lesson in communication, I yearned.

I watched the dance of sunbeams on the lake,
How they shimmered and swayed, for God’s sake.
In silence, they spoke of beauty untold,
A language of light, more precious than gold.

I listened to the laughter of my children at play,
Their unspoken joy, like sun’s warm array.
Their pure hearts revealed a truth so clear,
In innocence, communication has no fear.

In quiet night, I looked to the stars,
Each one a beacon, radiant avatars.
They whispered tales of the vast cosmic sea,
A reminder that God’s glory spans infinity.

And in the depths of my own soul’s great well,
I found the voice of love, a sacred spell.
To unlearn bad ways and communicate better, I learned to first see,
The divine in others most important, as God sees in me.

So, I strive to convey His grace and His light,
In words that uplift, in actions that unite.
For in learning to speak with love and compassion,
I glorify God through every human interaction.

  • Attraction, Love and Marriage

    August 31st, 2023

The dynamics of human relationships are often intricate, with emotions, actions, and commitments intertwining to create bonds that span lifetimes. Within love and partnership, the saying “Attraction is a feeling, love is an action, and marriage is a covenant” encapsulates a deep understanding of the progression of relationships. Moreover, this design resonates profoundly with the teachings of Jesus, underscoring the spiritual significance of these principles.

    Attraction as a Feeling:
Attraction serves as the foundation of many relationships, drawing individuals together through physical, emotional, and intellectual connections. This initial spark is a powerful force, yet it’s often fleeting and subjective. Jesus recognized the importance of the heart, cautioning against lustful desires and emphasizing the significance of genuine connections rooted in respect and sincerity. True attraction, when nurtured, can lead to profound emotional bonds and genuine love.

    Love as an Action:
In contrast to attraction, love is depicted as an action – a deliberate choice and an intentional commitment. This understanding mirrors Jesus’ teachings of selflessness and sacrificial love. He exemplified love through his actions, teaching that serving, forgiving, and caring for others are paramount. Love as an action requires effort, patience, and a willingness to prioritize the well-being of the other person above oneself. This resonates with the biblical concept of agape love – a selfless, unconditional love that reflects God’s love for humanity.

    Marriage as a Covenant:
Marriage, as an institution, is often viewed as a legal contract, but the concept of marriage as a covenant runs deeper. A covenant involves a sacred promise, a bond that transcends mere legalities. Jesus’ teachings on marriage emphasize unity and faithfulness. The covenantal nature of marriage aligns with his teachings of commitment and loyalty, where two individuals pledge to support, cherish, and stand by each other through all seasons of life.

Feelings as a Product of a Loving Covenant with God:
The assertion that feelings are a product of a loving covenant with God suggests that emotions find their root in a spiritual connection. When individuals cultivate a relationship with God, they experience a transformation of the heart. This spiritual transformation can influence their ability to love, forgive, and empathize, thus affecting the feelings they experience within relationships. Jesus’ teachings on love, compassion, and the Holy Spirit’s role in shaping believers’ hearts underscore the profound impact of spirituality on emotions.
The axiom “Attraction is a feeling, love is an action, and marriage is a covenant” encapsulates a journey of profound growth in human relationships, aligning with the teachings of Jesus. This paradigm offers insights into the progression from the initial attraction that draws individuals together, to the selfless actions that sustain love, and the covenantal commitment that anchors marriages. It also underscores the spiritual dimension of emotions, reminding us that our connections with God influence the way we engage with others. By embracing these principles, individuals can forge deeper, more meaningful connections built on a foundation of genuine attraction, intentional love, and sacred commitment.

Unveiling a world, where shadows took flight.
Fruits of choice tasted, innocence gone astray,
A symphony of struggle, life’s intricate ballet.

Life’s path decided, with threads of the past,
A narrative shaped by that sin-casting cast.
Yet within tribulations, like gems in the rough,
We seek evolution, though the going is tough.

    We’re wanderers, tracing labyrinthine ways,
Through deserts of trials, under sun’s fervent blaze.
The echoes of choices, like distant chimes,
Remind us of moments, unforgotten rhymes.

    Original misstep, shadows our dawn,
Yet in every sunrise, a chance to transform.
From fractured reflections, we piece back our soul,
Completing the puzzle, to once again be whole.

As rivers carve canyons, our struggles define,
The contours of being, in this grand design.
Through fractures, we find strength, through scars, we achieve,
Beneath it all glimmers hope, if we dare to believe.

  • Did He Rise?

    August 29th, 2023

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a central tenet of Christianity, asserting that Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. This event is not only pivotal to Christian theology but also debated among scholars and skeptics alike. In this blog, we’ll explore the evidence surrounding the resurrection of Jesus and consider various perspectives on this historical and religious topic.
The primary accounts of Jesus’ resurrection are found in the four Gospels of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These texts are considered the earliest sources documenting the life and teachings of Jesus. While they may differ in some details, they all converge on the core narrative of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and subsequent appearances to his disciples.
One of the most significant pieces of evidence supporting the resurrection is the empty tomb. All four Gospels attest to the tomb being found empty by women who came to anoint Jesus’ body. Critics argue that the empty tomb could have been the result of theft or confusion, but proponents of the resurrection point out that the tomb’s discovery by women adds credibility, as their testimony would have been considered less reliable in the cultural context.

The Gospels recount numerous post-resurrection appearances of Jesus to his disciples. These appearances occurred over a span of time and under various circumstances. Skeptics suggest that these accounts could be fabrications or hallucinations, while believers argue that the consistency across multiple accounts lends credibility to their authenticity.

One intriguing aspect is the dramatic transformation of Jesus’ disciples following his resurrection —Even Jesus’s brother was convinced. Before the event, they were disheartened and fearful, but after encountering the risen Jesus, they became bold proclaimers of his message. This transformation is often cited as evidence of their personal experiences with the risen Christ. Even willing to die for what they saw.

Examining the historical context is crucial when evaluating the resurrection. The rapid spread of Christianity in the first century, despite intense persecution, suggests that something significant must have occurred to inspire such devotion.

Additionally, historians outside of the biblical narrative, such as Josephus and Tacitus, make passing references to Jesus’ crucifixion, providing some external corroboration.

Skeptics present several counterarguments against the resurrection, including the possibility of legend development over time, bias in the Gospel accounts, and the lack of corroborating historical sources. Some argue that the resurrection could be explained through naturalistic theories, such as swoon theory (Jesus didn’t die on the cross) or theft theory (disciples stole the body).

The question of whether Jesus Christ rose from the dead is complex and multifaceted. Believers point to the convergence of accounts, the empty tomb, post-resurrection appearances, and the transformation of disciples as compelling evidence. Skeptics raise valid concerns about biases, potential legend development, and alternative explanations. Ultimately, one’s perspective on the resurrection often hinges on personal beliefs, historical interpretation, and the acceptance of supernatural events. —FAITH.

I encourage you to read and study on your own. If you go into it with an open mind, you will be surprised on what you find.

  • Temptation

    August 29th, 2023

In God’s image, I stand strong,
A beacon of His grace and song.
    Temptations whisper, beguile and call,
Yet His strength within me, I recall.

Born not as beast, but spirit divine,
Guided by purpose, a purpose that’s mine.
A shield against desires’ fleeting gleam,
For in His image, I hold a sacred dream.

But those without faith, adrift they roam,
No tether to anchor their hearts at home.
Temptations grasp, their wills they sway,
No higher purpose to light their way.

I’m bound by more than impulse’s grasp,
A purpose deeper, a truth that will clasp.
To resist, endure, and rise above,
Born in His image, fueled by His love.

  • Is it ok to be Sad?

    August 28th, 2023

As a journey down my own road of sadness, I question sometimes if I am leaning on God enough. I am very joyful and thankful for all the blessings my pain has brought to my life but I do wonder if my relationship with God was even better wouldn’t I not be sad? Let’s unpack this now…

In my view, the question of whether Jesus ever experienced sadness is a topic that brings together theological interpretations and scriptural perspectives. Personally, I believe that Jesus, being both fully divine and fully human, could have indeed experienced moments of sadness during his earthly life.

When I consider passages like the account of Jesus weeping at the death of Lazarus in the Gospel of John, it becomes evident that he felt genuine grief and sadness. This emotional reaction points to his humanity and his ability to empathize with the pain of loss that humans feel. Similarly, the description of Jesus’ agonizing moments in the Garden of Gethsemane before his crucifixion showcases a deep sense of emotional distress and sorrow, which resonates with the idea of him experiencing sadness.

At the same time, I understand the argument that Jesus’ divine nature might have influenced his emotional experiences. Some might even say his divine mission and unique position as the Son of God could have shielded him from certain human emotions like despair or hopelessness. This perspective highlights the tension between his human and divine attributes and how they might have interacted.

The interpretation of biblical texts plays a pivotal role in shaping these beliefs. As I reflect on this question, I’m reminded of the significance of understanding the cultural and historical context of the time in order to grasp the nuances of emotional expressions during that era.

My personal perspective is that Jesus likely did experience moments of sadness, given his dual nature as both divine and human. The question remains a subject of profound theological contemplation and can vary depending on individual beliefs and religious traditions. However, I believe sadness is ok. If Jesus was sad, then I can be too. A person can rely fully on Jesus, be full of Joy and still be sad. I am simply being too hard on myself I suppose.

Thanks for going on this journey with me. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

  • Finding Joy Amidst Loss: A Journey of Faith and Resilience

    August 28th, 2023

It’s time I delve into the intricate balance between experiencing immense joy and grappling with profound sadness due to personal losses. I will attempt to explore how faith in God serves as my steadfast foundation that provides solace and strength in times of tribulation. Through an examination of my personal experiences, psychological perspectives, and spiritual insights, I hope to illuminate the interplay of emotions and the role of faith in maintaining equilibrium and resilience in the face of adversity in my own life.

Life here on earth is a journey sprinkled with happiness and sorrow. It is the inherent nature of human existence to traverse through moments of elation and encounters with loss. There is however a paradoxical existence of experiencing both immense joy and profound sadness, while also highlighting the role of faith in God as an unyielding anchor in the midst of life’s storms.

Embracing Joy —Joy is an essential aspect of human life, manifesting through moments of achievement, connection, and celebration. It is a powerful emotion that can uplift the spirit and foster a sense of well-being. These moments of joy can come from various sources such as personal accomplishments, relationships, and life milestones. However “real” sustainable joy is achieved only through your relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Him, it isn’t joy at all but a only a moment of happiness.

Navigating Loss —Loss is an inevitable part of life that can emerge through various forms – be it the loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship, or a cherished dream. The emotions that accompany loss are complex and can range from sadness and grief to anger and confusion. Acknowledging and processing these emotions is essential for healthy coping.

The Interplay of Emotions —Experiencing both joy and sadness simultaneously might seem contradictory, yet it’s a common human experience. The coexistence of these emotions can be particularly challenging, often leading to feelings of guilt or confusion. Understanding the intricacies of this emotional interplay can help in developing emotional intelligence and resilience.

Faith as a Steadfast Anchor —Amidst the whirlwind of emotions, faith in a higher power, like God, can provide a profound sense of solace and purpose. Believing in an unwavering presence that offers comfort and guidance can alleviate the weight of sorrow. The belief that there is a divine plan even in the midst of trials can foster hope and resilience this maintains a constant joy.

    Drawing Strength from Faith —
The personal relationship with God often becomes a source of strength during times of loss. Prayer, meditation, and seeking spiritual counsel can facilitate the process of healing and growth. The concept of God as a rock, an unshakable foundation, instills a sense of security that enables individuals to navigate the turbulence of life and have sustainable joy.

Faith Communities and Support —Faith communities can serve as valuable support systems during times of sorrow. The sense of belonging, compassion, and shared beliefs can create a safe space for individuals to express their emotions and receive comfort. Spiritual teachings and practices provide tools to cope with sadness while embracing the joy present in life.

    Finding Meaning in Loss —
Faith often invites individuals to explore the deeper meaning behind their experiences. While loss can be incredibly painful, it can also catalyze personal growth, empathy, and resilience. Viewing losses through a spiritual lens allows for a broader perspective that encompasses both joy and sorrow as integral components of the human journey.

The human experience is a complex labyrinth of both joy and sorrow (sadness). Although I only scratched the surface, hopefully I explored some of the the coexistence of these emotions and how faith in God serves as an unwavering foundation during times of loss. The intertwining of joy and sadness is a testament to the multifaceted nature of life. Embracing faith as a rock provides a path to navigate this intricate journey with resilience, hope, and a renewed appreciation of true joy that punctuate our lives through God.

  • Devo – Exodus 5

    August 28th, 2023

In Exodus 5, Moses and Aaron request Pharaoh to let the Israelites go into the desert to worship their God. However, Pharaoh refuses and instead increases the Israelites’ workload, demanding they gather their own straw for brick-making while still meeting the same quota. This leads to a heavy burden and frustration among the Israelites. They blame Moses and Aaron for making their situation worse.

    1. Leadership Challenges (Exodus 5:1-2): When facing resistance or challenges in leadership roles, it’s important to communicate clearly and assertively while also recognizing the limits of your control.
    2. Dealing with Rejection (Exodus 5:2): Moses and Aaron faced rejection from Pharaoh. This reminds us that rejection is a part of life, but it shouldn’t deter us from pursuing our goals and beliefs.
    3. Importance of Persistence (Exodus 5:3-5): Moses and Aaron persisted in their request despite initial rejection. This teaches us to remain persistent in the face of setbacks and obstacles.
    4. Understanding Authority (Exodus 5:7-9): The interactions between Moses, Aaron, and Pharaoh emphasize the dynamics of authority. In life, it’s important to respect authority while also advocating for justice and fairness.
    5. Balancing Compassion and Responsibility (Exodus 5:10-19): Pharaoh’s harsh treatment of the Israelites highlights the struggle to balance compassion with fulfilling responsibilities. We must strive for empathy and kindness even in positions of power.
    6. Maintaining Faith in Adversity (Exodus 5:20-21): The Israelites, despite being mistreated, blamed Moses and Aaron for their suffering. This reminds us to maintain faith and resilience even when circumstances are challenging.
    7. Effective Communication (Exodus 5:22-23): Moses’ honest communication with God demonstrates the value of open dialogue in our relationship with a higher power or in addressing our concerns.
  • Adam and Jesus on Food

    August 28th, 2023

Had a thought. Adam was tempted by Satan with an apple (ate the food) and gave in to sin while Jesus fasted for 40 days (did not eat “the” food) and successfully resisted Satan.

Both the stories of Adam’s sin of eating the apple in Genesis and Jesus’ fasting from food for 40 days while being tempted by Satan highlight important aspects of human nature and spiritual resilience. In the story of Adam and the apple, he succumbs to temptation, disobeying God’s command and introducing sin into the world. On the other hand, in Jesus’ story, his fasting demonstrates his strength to resist temptation, showing his divine nature and providing an example for humans to overcome challenges.

These stories can be applied to our lives in several ways. They illustrate the struggle between yielding to worldly desires and choosing a path of righteousness. Adam’s story reminds us of the consequences of giving in to temptations and how sin can have far-reaching effects. Conversely, Jesus’ example encourages us to rely on faith and spiritual strength to overcome trials, highlighting the power of self-discipline and aligning our actions with higher principles.

In our lives, we often face choices between instant gratification and enduring spiritual growth. Adam’s story teaches us the importance of being mindful of our decisions and their potential consequences. Jesus’ story encourages us to tap into our inner strength, relying on faith, self-control, and a deep connection with our beliefs to navigate challenges without succumbing to negative influences.

Ultimately, these stories underscore the fundamental human struggle between good and evil, and they offer guidance on how to make choices that lead to spiritual growth and moral integrity.

Final summary thought —When we resist temptation and embrace self control, we glorify God and dont sin. What a good reminder I needed in my current season of life. Amen Jesus!

  • Devo – Day 55/Psalms 55

    August 28th, 2023
    1. Seeking God’s Help in Distress (Verse 1-2): When you’re feeling overwhelmed or burdened, turn to God in prayer for comfort and guidance.
    2. Dealing with Betrayal (Verse 12-14): Psalm 55 addresses the pain of betrayal. It teaches us to bring our hurts to God, trusting that He will ultimately bring justice.
    3. Casting Your Cares on God (Verse 22): This verse encourages us to cast our burdens upon the Lord, knowing that He cares for us and will sustain us through difficulties.
    4. Trusting God’s Timing (Verse 23): Sometimes, we face situations that seem unjust. This verse reminds us that God will ultimately deal with wrongdoers and bring justice in His timing.
    5. Confidence in God’s Deliverance (Verse 16-17): Even in the midst of trouble, the psalmist expresses confidence in God’s ability to rescue and save.
    6. Choosing God’s Presence (Verse 7): The psalmist desires to have wings like a dove and fly away. In our own struggles, we should seek refuge in God’s presence instead of escaping from our problems.
  • Seek Understanding, Leave Agreement to Rest

    August 27th, 2023

My thoughts and words breathe voice,
    Two wanderers walked, hearts ajar,
    Beneath clouds and meadows green,
    Chasing secrets hidden in afar.

    A river tranquil, sunset’s embrace,
    Whispering ripples, ancient’s voice,
They paused, conversing face to face,
Seeking to unearth a realm’s true choice.

“Agreement,” said one voice, fragile and bright,
    A glass sculpture, beauty adored,
Yet easily shattered, casting its light,
    Yet, disconnection’s shadow, anxiety’s chord.

The other then smiled, soft and serene,
    “Understanding,” they gently aired,
    A richness, where hearts convene,
    Empathy’s garden, where souls interrove.

In the night unveiled truths in silver array,
    Two souls pondered wisdom’s grace,
    Agreement’s illusion, anxiety’s sway,
    Understanding, the heart’s true embrace.

A pact under stars, they silently swore,
To fathom depths where empathy thrives,
    In diversity’s landscape, they’d explore,
    Where understanding kindles, compassion derives.

No more mere pursuit of echoing thoughts,
    But empathy’s dance, connection’s art,
In free verse of souls, their union sought,
A mystery of understanding, a journey to start, leaving agreement to rest.

  • Who is He in Me?

    August 27th, 2023

In the complexity of my heart, Jesus is the melody that weaves through every pulse, the guiding star that illuminates the darkest corners of my soul. Like a gentle breeze, his presence whispers through the echoes of my existence, carrying the essence of compassion and love. Stepping beyond the boundaries of my familiar world, I ventured on a journey that mirrored the path He walked—a path through ancient forests and meadows where wisdom lingered like a secret waiting to be unveiled.

Trees, ancient sentinels, stretched their branches skyward, cradling the stories of ages within their gnarled embrace. Travelers of enlightenment met me along the way, bestowing stories from the threads of time, each tale a jewel adorning the necklace of my quest. The heavens above became my faithful guide, as scripture and Spirit charted my course. Houses, resplendent in devotion’s hues, beckoned with kaleidoscope windows and spires that pierced the heavens. Amidst their sacred halls, prayers ascended like incense, and the symphony of faith echoed in my heart, igniting a star-like fire within that propelled me deeper into the chambers of understanding.

Mountains and valleys whispered their secrets, and the natural world spoke in the language of wind and water. In each rustling leaf and sun-kissed petal, I felt the divine’s tender touch upon my soul. The universe appeared as a majestic vastness, threads of light and shadow paired by the Father’s hands. Beside a tranquil riverbank, a sage materialized, eyes reflecting the ages. He spoke of an interconnected music, each soul a unique note in the grand orchestration guided by unseen hands.

My journey bore thorns of challenges, the dark nights of doubt obscuring the radiance of my Dad’s embrace. Yet within those shadows, I unearthed the constellation of my own strength. Jesus’ presence transcended brilliance; it resided in adversity’s realm, guiding me through life’s labyrinthine passages.

As stardust flowed through the river of time, my perception underwent metamorphosis. The question ceased being a solitary star—it became a constellation, an ever-evolving mosaic of heavenly inquiry. Every step was a brushstroke on the canvas of revelation. My quest was no longer about capturing the universe within a single lens; it was about multitudes of thoughts and actions into a mecca of insight.

And so, beneath the sun’s liquid glow and amidst zephyrs’ whispered verses, my odyssey continued—an endless narrative merged with vehicles of exploration and marvel. Each footfall etched a sonnet upon the earth’s skin, and with each heartbeat, I embraced the truth that Jesus was not a distant figure but a living presence within me, a celestial aurora shimmering in the essence of all—a symbiotic of existence resonating through the very essence of my universe — providing both joy and peace.

  • The Man Inside

    August 27th, 2023

In life, each of us envisions the person we aspire to become. Like a mosaic, our desires, values, and beliefs interweave to create a portrait of our ideal self. And in seeking this persona, I draw inspiration from Jesus Christ.

To become a person reminiscent of Jesus is to embrace compassion as a driving force. Just as Jesus reached out to the marginalized, the downtrodden, and the lost, aspiring to be like Him means extending a hand to those in need. It’s about recognizing the humanity in every person, regardless of their background, and demonstrating a genuine concern for their well-being.

Additionally, embodying the ideals of Jesus involves walking a path of humility. The acts of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples serves as a poignant reminder that true leadership emerges from a place of servitude. To become a person who embodies this lesson is to prioritize the welfare of others over personal pride, recognizing that true strength is found in selflessness.

Furthermore, the man inspired by Jesus’ journey strives for a profound inner peace and wisdom. Just as Jesus retreated to the desert to meditate and reflect, aspiring to be like Him means cultivating a deep understanding of oneself and the world around. This pursuit of wisdom is not limited to acquiring knowledge, but rather, it encompasses the capacity to see beyond surface-level appearances and to discern the underlying truths that shape our existence.

Forgiveness stands as another cornerstone of the Jesus-themed persona. Jesus’ willingness to forgive even those who wronged Him exemplifies the transformative power of compassion and empathy. Aspiring to become a person influenced by this aspect means relinquishing grudges, allowing healing and understanding to flourish in one’s interactions with others.

Ultimately, the man seeking to align his identity with Jesus’ teachings endeavors to foster a sense of unity and connection with all of humanity. Just as Jesus encouraged the notion of the interconnectedness of all beings, aspiring to be like Him means transcending differences and working towards harmony, solidarity, and collective well-being.

Yet, it’s essential to acknowledge that the path to embodying these qualities is not linear, nor is it without challenges. Jesus’ life is marked by trials, tribulations, and moments of doubt. Likewise, the journey of personal growth can be fraught with setbacks and uncertainties. However, it is through these trials that one can refine and deepen their commitment to becoming a person who reflects the principles of love, compassion, humility, wisdom, forgiveness, and unity exemplified by Jesus.

In the end, the man I aspire to become, in the vein of the Jesus-themed persona, is a beacon of light in a world often shadowed by self-interest and division. By weaving the threads of compassion, humility, wisdom, forgiveness, and unity into my spirit, I can draw the Holy Spirit to shape my own path toward becoming a person of profound impact, serving as a vessel for positive change in the lives of those around me.

  • Is This It?

    August 27th, 2023

Can the stars that dance across the sprawling canvas of the night sky truly measure the uncharted expanse of It?

Each celestial body, a distant sun in its own right, sends twinkling messages across the cosmic sea, a language of light written in constellations. Yet, much like these stars, It casts with an intensity beyond our grasp, filling the cosmos with a brilliance that defies description. Is this it?

Just as starlight travels eons to reach us, so does It journey through the corridors of eternity, a beacon of radiant devotion that bathes the universe in its luminous glow.

A force unbound by Earthly limitations, it expands beyond galaxies, embracing each corner of the cosmos, stitching together the very fabric of existence. Is this it?

Envision the oceans stretching like liquid poetry across the Earth’s skin, depths concealing secrets and tales untold. Could these vast waters, akin to ink on a parchment of blue, cradle the unfathomable sea of It?

Just as ocean tides sway under the moon’s tender touch, so does It’s rhythmically surge through the smallest crevices of our lives, an eternal tide of grace ever ready to embrace us.

Much like oceans link distant shores, It bridges every soul, transcending the constraints of time and distance. It is the current that unites humanity, a celestial river that flows through the heart’s intricate deltas. Is this it?

Does It mirror the moon’s cycles, waxing and waning with time’s passage, or does It resemble the distant stars whose light traverses millennia to reach our eyes?

Neither fate befalls this. It stands steadfast, unwavering, like an eternal bonfire that outshines even the most brilliant cosmic phenomena, illuminating the depths of our being with its constant glow. Is this it?

Just as ancient trees stand sentinel through seasons, It remains a constant, an anchor amidst life’s turbulent tides, guiding us through the labyrinthine passages of our existence.

Could our human hands truly capture the essence of It? Attempting to contain this ethereal force would be like bottling a whispering wind or cupping the ocean within our palms.

Eluding our grasp, It flows through the crevices of our understanding, transcending the confines of human comprehension. It beckons us to explore It’s depths, to navigate its mysteries, to marvel at its boundless nature as we surrender to its enigmatic currents. Does this describe it?

Is It fragile, like delicate glass easily shattered, or is It resilient, standing strong against the trials of time and tribulation?

Far from fragility, It carries the unyielding strength of a relentless tide. It is not a fleeting emotion, nor a brittle construct. It serves as the bedrock of faith, an unwavering lighthouse amidst life’s tempests, casting light into even the darkest nights.

As a fortress against crashing waves, It stands tall, guiding us through the stormy seas of life, a constant presence in the ever-shifting tides of our journey.

So, let the question linger in the air like a suspended note in a symphony: Can we truly confine or encapsulate It within the boundaries of human language and understanding?

Perhaps the answer lies not in defining It within the confines of words, but in experiencing its vastness through the grandeur of existence.

It resonates in the shimmering of stars, the depths of oceans, and the unwavering spirit of humanity. This question invites us to embark on a journey of contemplation, to wander through the landscapes of our hearts, and to be humbled by the enormity of a love that transcends the realm of understanding. This I tell you — is God’s love.

  • Anchor in the Night

    August 27th, 2023

Depths, shadows, pain takes its throne,
A heart in silence dwells, its longing sown,
Stand beside her, hold in solace’s grip,
Mend the wounds that time’s cruel hands equip.

Life’s vast canvas paints with strokes unknown,
At times, we tread alone, our paths full-grown,
Diverging ways, trials that rise like tides,
Casting shadows where the somber heart abides.

Tearful gaze and clasped heart’s gentle plea,
I yearn to tame her storms, set her soul free,
A bulwark for her, an anchor in the night,
Against the tempest that clouds her inner light.

But faith, a radiant beacon in life’s sky,
Bids me release my hold, let reasons fly,
To trust in unseen hands, His grace,
While God enfolds her in a warm embrace.

He speaks, threads of love profound,
Through trials’ crucible, a strength is found,
A masterpiece of hope, resilience bold,
Guiding her through labyrinthine paths untold.

Though desperate to erase each ache and scar,
Shield her from life’s tempests, near and far,
I learn to yield, to let the currents steer,
And let her find her own course, free from fear.

In whispered verses, prayers like gentle streams,
My love and faith unite, entwined in dreams,
A chorus rises, boundless as the sea,
A plea for solace, grace, for her to be free.

For He, who knows her heart’s secret core,
Will guide her through tumultuous oceans’ roar,
As I entrust her to His sovereign hand,
She’ll rise in time, unbroken, on life’s shifting sand.

  • Labyrinth of His Relational Existence

    August 26th, 2023

In the midst of life’s bustling orchestra, I found myself adrift, a lone wanderer caught in the ebb and flow of existence. The relentless march of modernity had distanced me from the ethereal, veiling my connection with the Divine and even with my own kin.

Yet, within the pregnant pause between heartbeats, I heard His whisper, a call to venture into the enigma that lay beyond. Leaving behind the well-trodden paths, I set forth on a journey, guided by the lure of uncharted lands untouched by the hands of time.

And there, amidst the secrets murmured by nature, I met Him—a sage wrapped in enigma, a guardian of truths veiled from common sight. Through conversations woven with loves and truths, He led me to the heart of silence, a space rich with unspoken mysteries.

Days and nights flowed together like a river without banks, as I journeyed further, deciphering the coded language of the cosmos. His tales painted faith in hues only seen in whispered dreams, while His stories transcended the barriers of the unknown.

In the moments between breaths and touch, a revelation unfurled within me. My dormant heart stirred, an ember awakened by an enigmatic yearning—a call to recover what was lost, to seek the intangible relationship and embrace the unknown.

Guided by signs both subtle and cryptic, I found myself wielding the quill, my words etched with vulnerability and the unanswered questions that had lingered within. These missives, almost like spectral wagons, carried fragments of understanding and bridges yet to be crossed.

Under the shade of ancient trees, where the dance of shadows played with light, I unraveled a truth. The Divine, I realized, flowed not just through consecrated halls, but through the very fabric of existence itself—a current that surged within the essence of all things. Holly as a Spirit.

Returning to the cacophony of urban life, I navigated the currents of my newfound revelations, a puzzle seeking its place within His reality. Crafting moments of reconnection, I mended bonds like a weaver restoring an intricate pattern.

My words became a symphony of introspection, a melody inviting others to find harmony within the chaos. Through tales that bore the shroud of enigma, I shared my journey, urging fellow seekers to uncover their own narratives hidden within the labyrinth of His relational existence.

As the seasons turned their unceasing wheel, my metamorphosis remained a whispered secret, touching souls in ways beyond ordinary comprehension. Through poetic lines, I chronicled my odyssey, offering it as a testament—a testament to the journey of the heart, a map leading to the echoes of its most profound whispers.

And so, through my words, I beckoned to others, a guide to the cryptic chambers where the soul’s song lies written. My story became an invitation, a dance of introspection and revelation, a map that guides seekers to the very heart of their own enigmatic existence with a true relationship with Him.

Judgment faded with the dawn’s first light,
Leaving a heart swaying with compassion’s might.

Whispers on the wind spoke of silent grace,
A metamorphosis written in the stars’ embrace.
Touched by the Holy Spirit’s soft dove’s wing,
His heart sanctified, an eternal hymn to sing.

Humble he remained, attributing the change,
To faith’s alchemy, in mysteries so strange.
Scriptures, his guide, like an astronomer of old,
Becoming the verses, love and wisdom in its fold.

Beyond the town, his aura a distant star’s gleam,
Guiding seekers through galaxies of dream.
    Words, constellations mapping uncharted skies,
In his presence, lives transformed, as daylight flies.

A tale told through time’s expanse,
Wisdom aged like wine, love’s eternal dance.
A vessel reborn, sailing tides far and wide,
Led by faith’s compass, where love and grace abide.

  • Devo – Exodus 3

    August 26th, 2023

Exodus 3 contains the story of Moses and the burning bush, where God speaks to Moses.

    1. Listening to God’s Call (Exodus 3:4): Just as Moses heard God’s call from the burning bush, we should be attentive to God’s guidance in our lives and be ready to respond.
    2. Recognizing God’s Holiness (Exodus 3:5): Like Moses taking off his sandals in reverence, we should approach God with a sense of awe and respect, recognizing His holiness.
    3. Trusting God’s Plan (Exodus 3:10): Moses was hesitant to lead, but God assured him that He would be with him. We can learn to trust God’s plan for us even when it seems challenging or uncertain.
    4. God’s Name Reveals His Nature (Exodus 3:14): When God reveals His name as “I AM WHO I AM,” it reminds us of His unchanging nature and constant presence in our lives.
    5. Overcoming Fear (Exodus 3:16-17): Moses had concerns about the Israelites’ response, but God assured him that the elders would listen. We can overcome our fears when God is leading us.
    6. Being Open to God’s Miracles (Exodus 3:20): God promised to perform signs and wonders to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. This teaches us to be open to God’s miraculous interventions in our own lives.

  • Spirits on the Mend

    August 26th, 2023

Amid life’s rush, two souls felt an ache,
Emma and James, a thirst they couldn’t shake.
Seekers of truth, they sensed a void within,
A yearning for a bond, where to begin?

“Are we adrift?” Emma mused one eve’s grace,
James gazed afar, the sunset’s warm embrace.
“Aye, we’ve drifted far from sacred ground,
Lost in the noise, our faith not to be found.”

With mornings set apart for quiet prayer,
A sacred space emerged, souls laid bare.
Awkward at first, like a long-lost friend,
Yet blossoming, their spirits on the mend.

To gatherings they flocked, seeking wise words,
Guidance, insight, as soaring as the birds.
Texts old and new, they devoured with glee,
    Wisdom’s treasures unlocking mysteries free.

On a mountain’s crest, side by side they trod,
Emma spoke soft, her heart a vessel awed,
“James, in this journey, I find my soul anew,
In God’s embrace, love and life imbue.”

James beamed back, his eyes two stars aglow,
“Emma, dear heart, together we bestow,
Not just on us, but on all life’s streams,
A love that flourishes, an answered dream.”

Time flowed as a river, in their hearts it etched,
    Challenges met with souls unretched.
With love as their guide, they learned to mend,
The gaze of life, souls intertwined, blend.

Beneath endless skies, a truth came clear,
Emma’s voice hushed, a whisper near,
“In God’s embrace, our love finds its home,
Through peaks and valleys, we cease to roam.”

James clasped her hand, his touch so true,
“In seeking the divine, we’ve found me and you,
Interwoven souls, a journey so vast,
In God’s embrace, love’s symphony cast.”

Thus, their tale unfurled, a journey divine,
Two souls on a quest, their spirits align,
In working on their bond with the One above,
They found a deeper love, a sacred trove.

  • Waltz with the Divine

    August 25th, 2023

    Across the canvas, I ventured,
A curious soul in search of truth’s refrain,
Within my ribs, an echo of silent longing,
A puzzle piece missing, a heart’s subtle pain.

Under the canopy of ancient sentinels,
I stumbled upon a chapel, time-worn and wise,
Its stones whispered tales of centuries past,
A secret haven where the soul often flies.

Beneath the cross, weathered and worn,
I knelt in the flickering candle’s warm grace,
Like an old friend, I whispered my story,
Seeking solace in this sacred space.

The suns rose and the moons painted arcs,
As days melted into a river of dreams,
    Ancient verses inscribed on parchment,
Lit a path within, where my soul gleams.

In the dance of life’s thunder and rain,
I clung to the lantern of faith, burning bright,
A North Star of hope in the labyrinth of doubts,
Guiding my journey through day and night.

Within this world of masks and facades,
My heart’s lantern beamed with a unique hue,
A mosaic of purpose, love, and courage,
A melody of the Divine, both ancient and new.

And so, within the chapel’s whispered echoes,
Amidst the glow of candles and dreams unseen,
My voyage unfolded, a celestial duet,
A waltz with the Divine, where my spirit convenes.

    1. Trust in God’s Justice (Verse 1-4): When I face false accusations or encounter deceitful people, I will trust that God’s justice prevails. Just as David placed his faith in God’s fairness, I will find solace in the knowledge that God sees the truth and will address wickedness.

  • Pain Pointed to Jesus

    August 24th, 2023

In a village cradled by rolling hills,
Lived Samuel, a mosaic of devotion,
    Father’s love, and community’s strength,
A life woven with threads of joy.

Emily, his muse, and children two,
    Lily’s laughter, Ethan’s boundless glee,
    Together, they painted life’s canvas,
    A portrait of love, a family’s symphony.

    But fate, cruel and unrelenting,
Cast its shadow on a winter’s night,
Fire’s dance devoured dreams and hearth,
Samuel awoke to a nightmare’s plight.

    Smoke’s embrace, flames’ fierce roar,
He fought the tempest, a desperate plea,
But destiny’s hand proved too strong,
His beloved home consumed, forever to be.

A heart shattered, guilt’s heavy cloak,
Samuel stood amidst ashes and grief,
Why, he asked the unforgiving sky,
Searching for meaning in tragedy’s relief.

Through meadows he wandered, seeking solace,
Aching for answers in nature’s embrace,
In the silence of woods, a chapel arose,
A haven ancient, a sacred space.

Within its timeworn walls, he knelt,
A calm descended, a presence unseen,
    A bond unfurled, wordlessly formed,
With Jesus, a communion, a lifeline keen.

    Conversations unspoken, pain laid bare,
Samuel found solace in sacred air,
His heart’s burdens released in prayer,
    A connection forged beyond despair.

Chapel visits grew, a habit profound,
    Guidance sought, friendship found,
In solitude’s balm, he pondered life,
His choices, his wounds, his journey’s mound.

As seasons danced and time flowed,
Grief’s jagged edges smoothed to grace,
Acceptance bloomed in petals of faith,
In quiet surrender, Samuel found his place.

    Loss transformed to lessons learned,
Trials were not punishments, he discerned,
Through Christ’s embrace, he forgave himself,
In his heart, his family’s spirits burned.

A beacon of hope, a balm for wounds,
    Samuel emerged, a steadfast guide,
At the shelter’s door, his solace shared,
A hand reached out to those who cried.

The chapel’s aura drew seekers close,
Pilgrims found peace in its hallowed aisle,
Samuel’s story, a testament of transformation,
    A tale of resilience, a journey’s trial.

Years etched lines on his weathered face,
    His narrative transcending time’s race,
A man once shattered, now made whole,
    A symphony of healing, a life’s embrace.

His kin’s memory a tender flame,
No longer agony, but love’s eternal claim,
Samuel’s purpose found in the ashes’ art,
A life renewed, a fire relit, an immortal spark.

  • Closer

    August 24th, 2023

In city’s heart, a soul named Michael dwelled,
Once draped in comforts, life’s tales he could tell.
    Trials unfurled, an unrelenting tide,
Lost job, friendships strained, pain by his side.

Mid towering structures, a haven he spied,
An old church stood, where peace did abide.
He entered, seeking solace for his woe,
By candle’s flickering light, he found a new flow.

Whispered prayers departed his lips, soft and frail,
His burdensome heartache began to unveil.
A calm settled in, a burden released,
In vulnerability’s grasp, his turmoil decreased.

Weeks passed, he journeyed through faith’s open door,
Reading of spirituality, teachings of yore.
Closer to Jesus, a companion in distress,
He drew solace, compassion’s sweet caress.

Comrade in suffering, in life’s tempestuous sea,
Michael sensed his presence, his story’s decree.
    Love, forgiveness, resilience he gleaned,
In these sacred teachings, his spirit redeemed.

    Trials endured, transformation took flight,
No instant solutions, no magic overnight.
Purpose awakened, a hopeful heart’s scheme,
In shelter’s warm haven, like a comforting dream.

Through pain’s crucible, a bond did he form,
With Jesus, a guide through life’s turbulent storm.
Hardship ignited faith, vibrant and true,
In life’s intricate take, purpose anew.

  • Truth and Love

    August 22nd, 2023

All of us stand at the threshold of an extraordinary revelation – an exploration into the intricate relationship between God’s word, the embodiment of truth, and love, the ethereal force that binds us as one. In our walks of existence, we often find ourselves grappling with these forces, yet today, we shall unravel their mysteries and understand how their harmonious coexistence can truly shape the trajectory of our lives.

Imagine, if you will, truth as a formidable mountain, unyielding and majestic, rising proudly against the sky. It stands as a testament to the unchanging principles that guide us, the bedrock upon which our beliefs and convictions are formed. However, just as the mountain’s summit remains enshrouded in clouds, truth alone can sometimes be difficult to grasp. It is here that love, like the gentle breeze that caresses the mountain’s slopes, comes into play. Love has the power to soften the sternness of truth, to make its contours more accessible and its message more relatable. Love breathes life into the stark truths, allowing them to flow seamlessly into our hearts and minds, bridging the gap between the mind and the spirit.

But let us not forget that even love, untempered by the robustness of truth, can lose its way. Love, when untethered to truth, can transform into sentimentality, a fleeting emotion that ebbs and flows with circumstances. In such moments, we yearn for the stabilizing force of truth to anchor our emotions and provide the North Star to guide our intentions. Truth lends love the strength to endure, to persist through hardships, and to create a solid foundation upon which meaningful relationships are built.

Now, picture these two forces not as isolated entities, but as threads woven together in the grandness of life. Like a masterful composer orchestrating a symphony, we must recognize that the melodies of truth and the harmonies of love are meant to be experienced together. In the crescendo of our existence, truth takes center stage, playing the commanding notes that resonate with our deepest selves. Love follows, weaving its intricate melodies around the truth, adding depth and richness to the composition. Together, they create a harmonious masterpiece that reverberates through the ages, reminding us of our shared humanity and our divine purpose.

As we embark on this journey called life, let us not be content with merely existing. Let us strive to thrive by embracing the delicate equilibrium of truth and love. For it is through this balance that we find the courage to be authentic, the compassion to understand, and the resilience to overcome. It is through this union that we find the strength to mend fractured relationships, to heal wounded hearts, and to build bridges of understanding in a world often divided.

Let us heed the call to be both guardians of truth and champions of love. Let us stand on the mountaintop of truth, humbled by its vastness and guided by its unwavering principles. Let us embrace love as the gentle breeze that carries the fragrance of understanding, acceptance, and unity. In this integration of truth and love, we discover the secret to living a life that is purposeful, impactful, and truly divine.

May our hearts remain open to the teachings of truth and the transformative power of love. As we traverse the landscapes of our lives, may we remember that it is in the harmonious dance of these forces that we find our essence, our meaning, and our connection to the greater whole.

  • An Awakened Man

    August 22nd, 2023

An Awakened Man chooses to honor the woman
    he loves.

He doesn’t object and argue with her, nor does he need to prove himself right.

He attentively listens to her heart without judgment.
He allows her to express her feelings, accepting and validating them.

He communicates in a manner that acknowledges she is important, cherished and respected.

He is conscious of her needs and wants, as if they were his own.

He is her protector and does all he can to make her feel safe.

He is also her best friend and confidant.

He is devoted to her, makes her a priority, and commits himself to supporting and fulfilling her desire to feel special and adored.

He knows she is a precious, priceless gift.

The Sacred Masculine does not hide from what the Heart Speaks.
He listens with open ear Embracing his Intuition, knowing that as a Warrior his Instincts are sharp. He does not run from conflict as he knows resolution is the traits of Kings.

He will not wall of in his Heart from the Divine Feminine feelings, knowing that within her, the flow of her love is eternal.

When a man opens up his soul and cares for a woman in this way, he allows her to trust him, to reveal her precious, passionate heart to him, and
to give all of herself to him as he gives all of
    himself to her.
    Don’t Settle an Awakened Man

Through trials and tribulations, Jonathan found a steadfast companion in Jesus, a guiding presence whose radiance illuminated even the darkest of nights. His love became a potent elixir, mending wounds and providing solace for the scars borne from life’s battles.

Every step he took, every action he executed, carried the essence of this love—an enduring imprint etched into his heart, a guarantee that Jesus’s love was, and forever would be, his sole necessity.

  • Unconditional

    August 12th, 2023

In the garden of their Eden, they weathered storms,
Each raindrop a hurt, each thorn a mistake.
Yet their hearts, like sturdy roots, held firm,
    Interwoven beneath the surface, unbreakable.

Through the shadowed forest of trials they ventured,
Guided by the light of forgiveness and grace.
Each misstep became a stepping stone,
Leading them deeper into the heart’s embrace.

Just like Jesus, he vowed to love her,
As she’d never known, a symphony of passion.
His touch, a gentle breeze on a summer’s day,
His gaze, a constellation of adoration in the night sky.

Their love, a lighthouse on the rocky shore,
Guiding them through the tumultuous sea of life.
Mistakes and sin were the winds that tested their sails,
But their ship of affection and loyalty sailed on, undeterred.

As the seasons turned, their love blossomed once again,
A perennial flower, weathering every frost.
In the symphony of their unity, mistakes were notes,
Harmonizing with the melody of boundless devotion.

All because of Jesus, their anchor and guide,
Their story became a testament to faith.
In the mosaic of their love’s journey,
They found beauty in the imperfections, and solace in all the scars.
