Within my soul’s still chambers, shadows play,
A longing stirs, profound and manifold,
A thirst for holiness, the purest way,
To soar beyond, where earthly bonds grow cold.
Yet fear, like thunder’s roar, can cloud the mind,
For God’s resplendent glory is profound,
A brilliance that can humble and remind,
How far our human frailty can be found.
To cast off sin’s cloak, rise to pristine heights,
Where purity, like dawn’s first light, resides,
And wash away each stain that dims our sights,
In silence, sin within the heart subsides.
But fear of God’s majestic, blazing might,
Can be a burden that we bear within,
A trembling reverence in the deepest night,
As we approach the sacred fire’s din.
Yet, in this trembling, in this holy dread,
There’s wisdom in humility’s embrace,
For in the shadow of God’s glory spread,
We find the path to seek His loving grace.
My quest for boundless purity extends,
A fire divine within my being’s core,
To cleanse my thoughts, my heart, my soul, amends,
And from sin’s grasp, release me evermore.
Though fear may tremble in the depths of soul,
It’s but a testament to God’s great power,
And in His mercy, He will make us whole,
Transforming fear into a fragrant flower.
Each day, I strive to be a vessel pure,
To let divine light through my being stream,
To cleanse my essence, make my spirit sure,
That holiness may fill my every dream.
In quiet moments, by the flowing stream,
I offer up my tears and brokenness,
And pray to glimpse that sacred, radiant gleam,
To be as pure as dawn’s pure tenderness.
For in this yearning, truth finds its abode,
Holiness dwells within each soul, concealed,
In this life’s journey, grace is our road,
As we seek purity, to be revealed.
Thus, through this world’s turmoil and worldly strife,
With longing, holiness I will pursue,
In silent chambers of my inner life,
I find the purity I strive to imbue.
