Devo – Day 57/Psalms 57

Psalm 57 is a prayer of David when he fled from Saul into the cave.

  1. Seeking Refuge in God (v. 1): When facing challenges or feeling threatened, we can find refuge in God’s protection.
  2. Crying Out to God (v. 2): In times of distress, we can turn to God and express our feelings honestly in prayer.
  3. God’s Faithfulness (v. 3): Trusting in God’s faithfulness and unfailing love can bring us comfort and hope in difficult situations.
  4. Awake, My Soul (v. 8): We can awaken our souls to praise and thanksgiving even in the midst of trouble, reminding ourselves of God’s goodness.
  5. God’s Glory Above the Heavens (v. 5): Reflecting on the majesty of God’s glory can help us put our problems into perspective.
  6. A Heart of Gratitude (v. 7): Developing an attitude of gratitude can lead to a deeper connection with God and a more positive outlook on life.
  7. God’s Sovereignty (v. 11): Recognizing God’s authority over all things can bring peace and assurance that He is in control.
