Time Prisoner

In chains cast by time’s remorseful hand,
A countdown marks the days until I’m free,
Like whispered echoes of a jail sentence,
It keeps me from the ones I dearly love.

Each tick a shackle, binding heart to wait,
The chains of absence tugging at my soul,
A prisoner longing for the light of home,
In solitude, my spirit finds no rest.

Yet in this dim, forsaken cell of days,
I find a flicker of hope’s gentle flame,
For as the numbers wane, the joy grows strong,
As I approach the threshold of my return.

But trust in God and His perfect timing,
Becomes my refuge in this weary plight,
His wisdom guiding each step that I take,
His grace sustaining through the darkest night.

With every passing moment, I draw near,
To embrace the ones who fill my heart’s core,
The love that’s been withheld, now set to pour,
A symphony of reunions soon to soar.

Through bars of time, I see their faces bright,
In dreams, they reach to hold my weary hand,
For in their eyes, I glimpse the sweetest grace,
A reminder of the love I left behind.

Though distance weighs upon my weary frame,
My love endures, undimmed by miles apart,
And when the countdown ends, we’ll reunite,
Embracing in a homecoming’s delight.

For in the trial of time’s jail sentence,
A love that’s steadfast, loyal, and divine,
It binds us close, unyielding in its might,
An unbroken bond, forever intertwined.

And so, I’ll trust in God and His perfect plan,
In His embrace, my heart will find its peace,
For when the day of freedom finally dawns,
Love’s tender reunion will never cease.
