Poem – 13th Day

On the thirteenth day of parting’s sting,
In sorrow’s depths, my heart takes wing.
Like Psalm 13, I cry out in despair,
Longing for hope and love’s repair.

As David’s plea reached the Divine,
I seek solace in prayers entwined,
Through tears and pain, I persevere,
Hoping restoration draws near.

The void within, it echoes strong,
Yet faith’s beacon shines along.
I trust in time, healing will unfold,
As Psalms and days gently enfold.

With courage in this trying strife,
I’ll find strength to rebuild my life.
Just like the psalmist’s spirit, I’ll strive,
And in hope, my heart will revive.
