In the days of separation, my heart doth yearn,
Twelve days have passed, each moment a concern.
Like Psalms 12, I seek solace in prayer,
For the trials we face, I lay my burdens bare.
As David lamented the deceitful tongue,
I ache for the words that once made us strong.
But trust in the Lord, I’ll not lose my way,
His love shall guide me through this disarray.
In verse three, the psalmist finds hope anew,
Just as I find strength in memories of you.
Though apart, our bond shall not fade or sever,
For love endures, it lasts beyond endeavor.
On the twelfth day, like Psalms 12, I’ll stand tall,
With faith and patience, we shall conquer all.
For in due time, our hearts shall reunite,
And once again, our love will burn bright.
