Poem – Success Means Nothing Without Family

In your work, where ambition gleamed,
I once chased success, with passion esteemed.
But now my priorities have shifted anew,
My heart and soul, to family I drew.

With the dawn of fatherhood, love untold,
A wife’s embrace, and children to hold,
The fire within, that fueled my career,
Now dims its light, as love draws near.

No longer lured by titles and gains,
I find solace in the simplest of domains.
The laughter of children, like sweetest song,
Gives purpose to days that once felt long.

The race for success now fades to the past,
For time with my loved ones, I hold steadfast.
Their smiles and joys, the treasures I seek,
My motivation transformed, humble and meek.

Though the workplace beckons, with its allure,
My heart remains steadfast, intentions pure.
For in their eyes, I see a love so rare,
A motivation unmatched, beyond compare.

So let others strive for the ladder’s ascent,
While I find my bliss in a different event.
In nurturing love and building a home,
Where my priorities reside, no more to roam.

For in the twilight of life, when all is said,
I’ll treasure the moments I willingly shed,
To be present for my wife and children dear,
Knowing my love for them will persevere.
