Poem – Self-care

In the garden of my being, I tend to the seed,
A poem of self-care, the nurturing I need.
With gentle hands and a compassionate heart,
I embark on a journey, a love-filled art.

I water my soul with moments of rest,
Finding solace in stillness, where I am blessed.
In the quietude, I listen to my own needs,
Honoring the whispers, tending to the seeds.

I nourish my body with wholesome embrace,
Choosing nourishing foods, a vibrant space.
I savor each bite, a celebration of life,
Fueling my being, banishing inner strife.

I walk through nature, in harmony’s embrace,
Feeling the earth’s rhythm, finding my place.
With each step, I release tension and stress,
Embracing the beauty, finding inner caress.

I seek knowledge and wisdom, a mind’s gentle care,
Through books, reflections, and thoughts laid bare.
Expanding my horizons, embracing new thought,
Feeding my intellect, in self-discovery sought.

I wrap myself in kindness, like a soft warm shawl,
Treating myself gently, embracing my all.
I offer forgiveness for past mistakes made,
Embracing self-compassion, letting go of the blade.

I surround myself with love, uplifting and bright,
Cherishing connections, like stars in the night.
With boundaries as shields, protecting my space,
I cultivate relationships that honor my grace.

In the journey of self-care, I find my own voice,
A sanctuary of healing, where I can rejoice.
For when I tend to myself, with love and respect,
I discover a flourishing garden, a life so perfect.

So I’ll continue to nurture, with unwavering zeal,
Caring for myself, allowing wounds to heal.
In this poem of self-care, a promise I make,
To cherish my being, for my own sake.

For in the garden of self-care, I truly see,
The essence of my worth, my infinite beauty.
With each act of kindness, a seedling takes flight,
And I bloom, oh so brilliantly, in my own divine light.
